So far, 180 routes suitable for ecotourism have been identified in İzmir. Some of them are where nature lovers, amateur athletes, students and people committed to a healthy lifestyle go on group day hikes. Most of the routes are suitable for a day trip there and back.
Some routes are for discovering nature, some are for discovering culture, and most offer the chance to discover nature and culture together. Ephesus is a rich landscape with a great variety of tourism.

What Is Ecotourism?
It is a form of tourism that brings out environmental and cultural values and lets visitors connect with local people, who have created a culture all their own, and with their culture; that supports the economic, social and cultural development of the local community; that increases the environmental awareness and sensitivity of both those who provide and those who use ecotourism services; and that at the same time protects the natural balance and sustainability.
